I am currently waiting for the dining room furniture that I bought over the internet that they said would be coming within 7 to 10 business days. I bought a whole set of furniture and I thought it was high time to finally change the table and chairs in my dining area since the table is already showing traces of time, as well as the chairs. I went for their 7 PC Westminster leather dining room set by the Coaster Company, which is consist of a large rectangular dining table, 2 leather arm chairs, and 4 leather side chairs. I also took advantage of their Tuscan dark mahogany master bar table from the Powell Company, since they are offering it with free shipping, and I always wanted to put a bar between the dining and the living rooms, since there is nothing placed in there but free space. I guess with the addition of the bar table, I would have to have that free space renovated a bit so it would look like a bar. I have a lot of liquors in the house and I don’t think the cupboards can hold them any longer, plus the fact that my wife is asking to add cabinets in the kitchen, which I don’t think the room can afford to have.

Refurbishing the House

I have some tips that I got from a certain website that tells good stuff in choosing furniture for your home. The tips are basic and easy to follow. First, it said that unless you have a large home, select furniture and accessories on a small scale. They’ll fit into most spaces as you move them around in your home. This will also make them easier to move. Next is that storage is in short supply in most homes. Select furniture pieces that offer drawers or hanging space, such as a chest of drawers or an armoire. They can be used in a bedroom, foyer, living room, mudroom, and more. It also said that when furnishing a living room or family room, choose 2 loveseats rather than one huge sofa. They’ll be easier to move and can be used forming a corner seating area, opposite each other to create a conversation spot, or separately in different rooms of your home. Another is to use slipcovers to change the look of sofas and chairs without making a big investment. And lastly, it advised to choose a color scheme and stick to it. Start with white or your anchor color and select fabrics and accessories to compliment the color scheme. If you carry the colors throughout your home, you’ll be able to move furniture and accessories from room to room. They’ll look great wherever you place them. I think I should start doing some refurbishing of my own so my place would look great.
